A Treehouse Getaway

2 nights for two people in a treehouse getaway other guests describe as "magical!" This one of a kind hideaway, endearingly called "African Safari Hut", was built by Pete Nelson on Animal Planet's Treehouse Masters TV show. It features a small kitchenette, a separate bathroom with shower and beautiful retreat-like surroundings. A hot breakfast will be served one of the mornings. The treehouse is in the Auburn-Covington area at the home of Skeeter Wilson, an African historian born in Kenya, and his wife, Jacque Kae. Passionate about Africa, Skeeter and Jacque have incorporated their love for African culture into the charming, professionally designed interior filled with African artifacts from their travels. The Capital Grille's Executive Chef Nathan Luoma will create a decadent four course dinner for you and your companions. Each course will be paired with wines from The Capital Grille's award winning list. Then, take a short walk over to the 5th Avenue Theatre to see "The Wizard of Oz" (11/27 – 12/20, 2026 performances only) or "Alice in Neverland” (6/11 – 6/27, 2027). Date and time for dinner to be mutually agreed upon and dinner is not available in December. Gratuity not included. Secure your theatre tickets by phone at least 72 hours prior to the performance. Use your dinner vouchers and theater tickets on the same day or separately for a wonderful night out.

Handcrafted Maple Coffee Table by Wane + Flitch

A beautiful piece of handcrafted furniture with a story all its own. This 44" round table was created from a maple tree that came down on a Gig Harbor property during a 2022 storm. The log was milled in 2024 and kiln dried before being transformed into this one-of-a-kind table by Wane + Flitch. Tacoma Public Schools’ IDEA school interns worked alongside the Wane + Flitch staff to help bring this beautiful piece to life. Locally sourced, locally crafted and truly one of a kind, this table is a piece you’ll enjoy for years to come. Delivery within 30 minutes of Tacoma is available.
