$2000 Safety Projects:
$2000 will not cover the cost to educate one student for just part of a school year in Tacoma, but in Africa and India, it can make the difference between a lifetime of poverty & illiteracy, and flourishing. The safety of the students that we serve is of the utmost importance. $2000 can be used for projects to protect the children such as building and repairing fencing and employing security personnel. Many of our students are the first ones in their families to learn to read. Providing safe and quality education at the schools we serve will not just help them personally; it will enable them to benefit their families and motivate them to invest in others in their community.
$1000 Vocational Training:
A gift of $1000 goes a long way to assist older students in our vocational programs to successfully learn skills that enable them to provide for their families. Our staff works hard to stretch your money to do the most good. $1000 could provide sewing machines for the girls in our tailoring classes. We could also purchase additional equipment for our computer lab or provide taxi driver training. These are just a few of the ways your $1000 gift could make a difference this year.
$500 Support Our Teachers:
The schools we partner with are led by local leadership and teachers that understand how to best serve their own communities. Teachers are the foundation of what we do. We want to equip them well to help our students toward a brighter future. A gift of $500 can help provide employment for teachers, and curriculum and resources to set them up for even greater success in teaching. Will you give $500 to support our teachers and schools?
$250 Medical Care and Supplies:
On top of facing a pandemic, our students are at risk for many other health problems, including malaria, typhoid, dysentery and more. Medical care is unavailable or completely unaffordable where they live. $250 can help provide doctor or nurse visits and needed medicines and supplies, literally saving lives. Will you give $250 to help provide medical care for our students?
$100 School Supplies:
$100 will not go very far in Tacoma, but in Africa and India it can make a world of difference. Children whose dream of education is completely out of reach because they cannot afford the fees required to pay for school supplies can go to school. Many of our students are the first ones in their families to learn to read. Our students are eager to learn and progress. Your gift of $100 can provide school supplies to help them succeed.
$50
How about $50? Every amount makes a difference. There are so many needs, from school uniforms to sanitation and cleaning supplies that help prevent the spread of illness among our students. By pooling your gift with the gifts of others, we are able to meet these needs and more.
